I’m following this series so closely. I have a theory Saprina but that’s not important. So curious as to why only you. I haven’t been laid off, but during a reorg I was one of 2 managers who didn’t get the-titled and pay bump. Praying for you!

When it happened to me, I got a meeting invite from my boss’s boss at 7:59am for 8:00am. Things were going great. They told me not to tell anyone until the next day because my boss didn’t even know I was getting laid off. They allowed me to say 6 additional months but I had just moved to a new state for that job. Ended up moving home. Slightly pivoted into a new field. Now, I care about work life balance more and stop working after hours for free.

Although I quit my Six Figure job I feel like I had no choice with this new administration. I’ve been unemployed for 10 months. Hundreds of applications 10 different resumes only 3 interviews. Very frustrating feeling. My advice is rest, have a daily routine, don’t get fixated on applying to jobs all day. I was reached out by a recruiter on LinkedIn I start working as a government contractor next month. You got this!!!!

I was fired almost the same way. Nothing worked on my laptop except for the email. I saw that there was a meeting and I instantly knew. I too didn’t cry because I was kind of relieved. Not to get fired but to be released from that position. Now I’m a manager making way more money with better management
