Mine is st.Mary of Egypt, I chose her because when I was a kid the priest before I got baptized I had to choose an saint and I was looking around for a bit to find someone that connected with me and one Sunday before my birthday which is in April i heard of the story of st.mary of Egypt then I saw her everywhere I went and I felt her story was so meaningful and give me hope that with God anything Is possible ☦️💙

St Elizabeth the New Martyr because i’ve always loved the homeless and i love how she gave up the world (royalty, wealth, status) to become a nun and care for the needy🖤. i feel i relate to her a lot of ways and the second i learned her story, i instantly knew she would be mine and i would be hers🖤.

St. Katherine and St. Alexandra, Empress of Russia. The story is really funny. Before I became Orthodox I wanted to be RC and chose St. Katherine bc I could just see so much of myself in her. Plus her feast day is the day before my birthday. St. Alexandra was because it wad the closest to my legal name (Alexandria), it was a request from my priest like a week before my baptism🤣. So I have two name days lol❤️☦️

I had been praying over it a lot and she revealed herself to me. I feel so blessed.

I chose St. John the Baptist! I had always felt drawn towards him and loved his story when I was atheist. when I was a catechumen I wasn't sure if I wanted him to be my Patron saint, so I prayed on it. one day after talking to my Priest I ran into someone at the church and he asked for my name again and he said "I think it's John, right?" I thought it was really funny and I told my now godmother about it and how I was struggling with taking St. John. She then randomly asked what my middle name was/meant, and I had no clue so I googled it, and sure enough, my middle name is the Danish form of John! I knew then and there that he was praying for me and I have been blessed so much due to his prayers!
