@pbc.raleigh: Ever get dizzy in stores like TJ Maxx or feel overwhelmed by all the visual stimulation around you? In this clip, Dr. Blake explains a type of eye exercise sometimes used in functional neurology called OPK with fixation. These types of exercises can help train how the brain processes visual motion and stabilize how the eyes respond in busy, high-traffic environments. That said, the eye exercises we prescribe are extremely specific to each patient’s exam and findings. What works for one person does not mean it will work for you, and self-prescribing eye exercises can actually make symptoms worse if they are not appropriate for your system.
