I love how you put this. I think learning not to give the blunt truth to people who aren’t asking, not giving it to people you can’t trust with it, & for those you can, start with what you see right, make sure what you say is constructive, and then balance it with respect for their autonomy and ask about their views as well with curiosity (because you may be wrong, and it helps people know that, while you are blunt, it’s not pride and you are open to understanding their view too).

the brutal part is seen as an attack and fairenough by the description although I understand this point perfectly as 'im like this but i really do try to say the exact truth but deliver it as best I can so it doesn't seem like an attack also with caveats.
