Following. I’m currently retired 5 years and after divorce. Started gambling more (lotto, scratchers). Won $100k 3 years ago. I cannot tell you what I spent the money on except paid off my car. 22 here. struggling a bit. have a solid 65k/yr ish job in tech and graduated last may. lost about 30k last couple months and i just have the urge to get it back but i know it’ll make it worse. I tell myself im young and its a better lesson to learn now than later but its so hard man

Hi..I have a 19 year old son who is a gambling addict. He is in an outpatient gambling treatment but still struggling. Have you heard of inpatient gambling recovery places and have any input of thoughts? Was there something that made you want to stop gambling?

I never had any addictions until the Indian casinos in California started, now they surround me. There’s at least 5 within 45 minutes to where I live. It’s been absolute HELL, and they the casinos should be held responsible, to a certain extent. They suck people in with their advertising, making it seem so fun and glorious, and that stupid note at the end if you have a gambling problem call 1-800-gambler, qualifies as being concerned? The whole atmosphere in a casino is degrading, the smoke, the drinking the gambling, cursing, the scammers, etc. there’s not too many smiling faces walking out, except for the casino owners and personnel. I’m still battling with it, and it pisses me off I’m stupid enough to fall into their trap!!! In God’s name I curse those bastards running casinos to HELL!!!
