Look for a midwife at a birth center to do your wellness checks. A lot of times they are more gentle and take things slow. Or if you want education on it before having them even do the wellness check, they'd be willing to do that too. You don't always have to go to a dr in a hospital for these things.

If you live in Utah County. Dr. Allen with Revere Women’s health is the BEST ob/gyno. He makes sure you are comfortable, all your questions are answered, doesn’t do anything you don’t feel okay with, and overall puts your care above everything. For pregnancy you can request to only schedule with him and he will come in to deliver your baby, even if he isn’t on call that day. He makes you feel seen. And if you need extra things for IUD placement and removal, he will do it. I have severe endometriosis and he’s helped with treating that plus helped with the fertility treatments to get pregnant 9 years ago with my daughter. 11 years ago with my son I had a different OB who had basically his license pulled from him. Anyway, I get it. I had a lot of trauma and with a chronic, painful illness that many professionals dismiss, it is hard to find a doctor to trust.

no bc I have told people that I am so hot and cold with kids & they’re like “well you’re a woman and in the church, so you’re gonna have to be ok with having them” ooo well.. I’m not gonna have them if we’re gonna be diminishing my value !!
