Those policies forced California to rely on about 70% imported fuel, making us dependent on foreign markets to stabilize our supply. That is incredibly risky energy policy for a state as large as California. Now, with global supply disruptions and foreign markets prioritizing their own domestic fuel needs, California and other western states that depend on imports could face major fuel shortages. Less refining capacity. More regulations. More dependence on foreign fuel. That combination is exactly how you end up with $10 gas. Californians need relief now. Call your legislators and join us in pushing to suspend the gas tax and increase supply before this gets worse.
