@diana_talks_realestate: Starting April 1, 2026, Texas rolled out several new laws and policy changes that are already impacting everyday people across the state. From new SNAP food restrictions and school library regulations under Senate Bill 13, to bail reform changes from SB 9 and updated windstorm building codes affecting homeowners and insurance eligibility—these are real changes happening right now. If you live in Texas, these updates could affect what you can buy, what your kids have access to in school, how the legal system operates, and even how much it costs to build or insure a home—especially in coastal areas. Most people don’t realize these laws are already in effect, but the impact is just starting to show. This video breaks down exactly what changed, what it means for you, and why it matters. Make sure you stay informed so you can make better decisions for yourself, your family, and your finances. #newtexaslaws #texaslaws #snapbenefits #texas

Honestly, I didn’t really care about the snap change, but I am actually kinda happy. It happened now because the price of Dr Pepper has already gone down two dollars since it happened in my grocery store and I’m expecting it to go lower

You just popped up on my page. Good to know. The one for library materials… I remember in 24-25 I asked NISD to give me access and print me out the list of books my children had access to in their library and classes and they said they were going to do it, but never did. They also told me when I requested this to be placed in my child’s individual education plan since they were in special education and they came back with banning my children from the library in writing and told me for me to bring their own books.

I rrly don’t wanna sound stupid bit Ik the snaps benefit does sound like a good thing but over 80% of our food here is still extremely unhealthy and still poison. Why can’t they also fix that as well. They want to push healthier choices which is great but those healthier foods are still expensive thou

The coast builder laws seems like some rich politically connected folks pulled some strings to gain an advantage somehow.
