This one may seem underwhelming, but given its place in magics history and its 4th wall breaking mention of how the “mage” in the text (in this case double entendres for the mage in the scene and also the players of magic) never expected to see this fierce power again, the fierce power being lightning bolt being reprinted into modern for the first time as it hit standard for I think it’s only iteration in coreset 2010?? I might be wrong about a detail here or there, but magic understanding the crucial importance of lightning bolt both as a card and symbol of the game and placing this much importance on its reprinting hits very hard, especially since CR died not long after. It was wonderful to see him honored this way before he passed.
