I have no idea about tech sales. But those who I know who started in accounting are loaded from working in PWC to have their own business. Accounting has many outlets. The goal is to become a partner or go solo. It takes time.

As a salesman I’m counting the days till I’m out of sales. It’s so much more stressful. I YEARN to just clock in and clock out. Is it lucrative? Sure it can be if you’re good at it and work hard, but there’s some months that no matter what you do the sales aren’t flowing and it’s just part of the game. To each their own and I wish you all the best in the world, don’t sell out of your own pocket. It’s your job to pitch the options to the client, it’s the clients job to decide what they need
