They set their dog up for failure. They are also entitled enough to take up public space. If their dogs are not people friendly, then they are actively setting up the situation for drama.

The nerve of this person to talk about “advocating for your dog” must be astronomical. I’m SO ready for the training fad of taking dogs into overwhelming, crowded, unsafe spaces with nothing but an ecollar to end. There’s no need to try and earn social media clout by endangering dogs.

Dog shaking and flopping down doesn’t necessarily mean an ecollar or being shocked. Some dogs use that body language when they are stressed. Shaking and rolling over in submission are extremely common body language. If you have never used an ecollar and admit you don’t know anything about them, then maybe save the assumption.

A shake off like that means you over corrected the dog with the collar!!! Ecollars are a leash extension, not a solve all!!!!!!! I’m a balanced trainer, but I agree with you here

yall they literally make ecollars that vibrate at different intensities or beep at different volumes. STOP USING THE SHOCKING ONES.

What you just explained happened to a Malinois client of mine. Typically movement chaser pup, but was having a great time about it. Used to chase bikes along the fence line and got out one day and got someone’s wheel but was still pretty playful and happy about it. Trainer told them to use e-collar, aversion worked until it didn’t anymore and not only did he F up the bike in a blind rage he also bit the cyclist. He learned to associate that those things were causing the pain and to make it stop….i must end it. Tricky part is he only does it when no one is around
