I don’t know why they push induction on everyone instead of letting your body tell you when it’s time.

Advocate for yourself. If they did an US they can measure baby!

Go to doc, take someone with you, and have them explain, clearly, what is going on. Make sure you have someone with you, preferably someone who’s had a baby already and/or has a handle on all the medical jargon.

Babe they scheduled an induction not bc he’s small, he’s not growing PROPERLY. Small and IUGR are different. Iugr babies have big chests and tiny bellies bc all energy goes to growing the more impt organs..heart, lungs. If he’s not growing properly at 34 weeks, he most likely isn’t going to get better the longer he bakes. Iugr babies do better outside mom vs inside bc they aren’t growing properly. Also, scheduling an induction before 39 weeks is a MEDUICALLY NECESSARY induction. We don’t do those lightly. You have to have a good reason for bringing a baby into the world not term.

This sounds exactly like myself with my first baby. I gained 8lbs the whole pregnancy. Ultrasound said he only weighed roughly 4lbs. He was born the next day and was 6lbs. No problems at all. He is 30 yrs old now. Luv and hugs to you Mama. 🥰

The ultrasound I had the day before my daughter was born said that my baby was measuring 8lbs… I had an emergency c section the following day and gave birth to a 10.5lb baby at 35 weeks

Great work advocating for yourself! Our bodies are rushed and they push fear every step of the way. Fear locks you up and makes it harder to relax your body and naturally have a baby. Definitely keep researching, advocate for your baby and you and you are allowed to say no!

Doctors don't know. I was told that my daughter was around 3 lbs. She had to come out asap. She was 5lbs 9 ounces. Healthy no issues.

it is your body and your baby
y and if he is healthy you can say no and let him come on his own on his own time. you need to advocate for what you feel is right.

Some babies are just small. Don’t let them freak you out. Obviously monitor for growth but some babies are just small.

I measured small with my first baby. She was measuring 2 weeks behind and when they done an ultrasound she was 6lbs at birth she was 4lb on the dot. They’re not always accurate 💕

Okay girl go back to your dr and have them actually explain what is going on and stand up for yourself because they will totally push us around if you don’t you don’t have to be rude but you have to be serious about knowing why they are pushing for something and not telling you why

It's so odd that none of the nurses or doctors are communicating with you or educating you. I am assuming this is your first child. Please ask your doctor about any question or concerns you have, and if they aren't listening to you find a new one if you can.

Do what you feel most comfortable with. Those growth scans can be soooo off.

As a mom of two born at 37 weeks via induction… prepare yourself love. It’s long and it’s intense. Mentally prepare and bring things to distract and keep you occupied. My labors were both over 30 hours

I was measuring small the last month. They said she would be 5-6 pounds. She came out 9 pounds. I went into labor naturally though. Dr just did ultrasounds every week

Baby measurements, especially weight, are typically not accurate. Its estimated and can be off. Especially if they are using measurements that are 2 weeks old.😳
