Since you've raised more than the initial $25k, with some of the overage I feel like you should consider bringing back a bunch of different types of seeds for fruit trees and shrubs/plants that they can try to grow on the island.
and maybe a sapling breadfruit tree to replace the one for the canoe.
ya know, leave it better than you found it.
will dragon fruit grow there? how about jackfruit? kiwis (I know you need a male AND female for these - but 1 male can support multiple females and they can be prolific)? mangoes? papaya? lychee? and anything else you've encountered on your travels.

This might be a question for closer to voyager time; but will you be doing some of the early legs of the journey with the island’s navigators navigating old school with the stars rather than tech? That’d be cool to ser

Fascinating. Everyone in my family (aunts, uncles, cousins) are at least amateur sailors. My uncle and my father-in-law served in combat in the US Navy. My sailing experience was mostly as a boy. I ran some races, mostly 2-man craft, and won one. The last time I captained was with my wife on our honeymoon in Jamaica, 28 years ago. Of course, I have gone out with relatives a few times since but, you make me realize, not often enough.

That happens to me naturally when I jibe on a sunfish, but then I end up capsizing. 😂 so I stick to tacking. Which makes me feel like Zoolander. “I’m not an ambiturner

is this because there's just the one float that it braces against? so the boat is always kinda leaning against that?
