@notorious_foodie: Dinner at the all new Impala, soho 👏🏽 - Finally got down to Impala - one of the most exciting openings in London right now. It’s chef Meedu Saad’s first solo spot in soho, built around bold, fire-led cooking with North African flavours and French technique. Feels very Soho - lively, dimly lit and with real intent behind the food. Loved the vibe in here, beautifully designed. He’s doing something truly unique. A few standouts… the smoked beef fat tartare was ridiculous - deep, rich and savoury, with that smoked fat running through it giving a really unique, addictive flavour. Unreal bite with the croutons. The kibbeh nayyah with langoustine oil and shiso ate like a taco - loved the concept and had to order two more. The cull yaw fat potatoes (served with the chops) stole the show on that plate - charred on the outside, ultra soft inside and fully soaked in that rich lamb sauce. And that crispy fried bread with the gooey hen’s egg centre - wow. The oven-baked tomatoes on top were jammy and sweet - a beautiful dish. Lots to choose from! Punchy, confident cooking and definitely one to get on your list. Will be back in here for lunch very soon. Congrats on the opening bro!
