🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️🚁 #dronevideo #Campinas #LagoaDoTaquaral #Sunset #drone

Nothing about my night changed. But somehow, everything felt different. Riley still woke up. He still needed feeding. He still wanted cuddles before he’d settle again. The clock still seemed to move painfully slowly. Morning was still a long way off. On paper, nothing had changed. But something inside me had. For so long, I thought the hardest part of motherhood was the broken sleep. Now I think it was the feeling that I was the only one living it. Sleep deprivation has a funny way of making you believe everyone else has figured it out. That everyone else’s baby sleeps. That everyone else is coping. That you’re the only one sitting in a dark room at 3am wondering how you’ll make it through tomorrow. Then one night, I opened the Beacon map. Those yellow dots weren’t just lights. They were mums. Real mums. Some breastfeeding. Some making bottles. Some pacing the nursery. Some holding babies who just wanted to be close. In that moment, I realised I wasn’t part of a tiny group struggling. I was part of a huge community of mums loving their babies through the hardest hours of the night. The wake ups didn’t disappear. The exhaustion didn’t disappear. But the loneliness did. And sometimes that’s the thing that gets you through until morning. If tonight feels long, I hope you remember this. Somewhere, another mum is awake too. She’s loving her baby through another wake up. She’s wondering if she’s doing enough. She’s hoping tomorrow will be a little easier. Just like you. And somehow, knowing that makes the night feel a little softer. 💛 #newmom #momlife #postpartum #motherhood #momcommunity
