@trunktrailsrefuge: Update & awareness for baby Kimbo 🐘💚 Our vets and medical team identified symptoms consistent with EEHV 3 days back , a serious virus that affects young elephants and can progress very quickly. Some of the signs include high fever, extreme weakness, loss of appetite, swelling, and in severe cases bleeding from the trunk. Right now, Kimbo is receiving intensive care including antiviral medication, fluids, and constant monitoring to give him the best chance to fight this. It’s a critical time, but early treatment gives hope. 🙏 We’re sharing this to help raise awareness and to ask for your continued support.
