Are yall stupid😭 yes originally he wanted both Alice and Edward, that was before the idea of Bella even becoming immortal was an option.. when she became immortal aro very clearly new their coven was growing stronger by day. And seeing Alice’s vision, seeing Bella could protect her whole coven, and Edward’s non fear really terrified him. Aro knew by day their coven would be stronger than his own. So by the end he only valued Alice and Bella since they were the MAIN threats, Alice future, and Bella being able to protect her whole coven and herself.

The only reason Aro spared bella was bc of her ability as a mortal to shield even his powers. He knew she would become a very gifted vampire. Which is why no matter the proof of renesmes birth, he still wanted a to kill the cullen like Alice said. With intent to spare Alice, Edward and Bella, and offer them a second chance by joining him. That's my take on it.
