I once bought an online friend an entire DLC pack so we could play it together as he was about to become homeless in the next 3 months. We played it day after day, talking about his challenges, and what he was going to do next. He did go offline at the end of those 3 months. I hope he's ok. It was worth it.

I met this one guy online so many years ago. It was just that one night; for me it was a really bad night after an even worse day…. I talked to him for hours and he just listened. He didn’t try to understand it. He didn’t interrupt me. Just listened to me, and allowed to me feel everything without being judged or worrying about how I was feeling offending someone else.

I'm a widower and an orphan, I'm 46 years old. I fondly remember Counterstrike lan parties and halo 3 until dawn When Helldivers 2 . When I landed on one of my first dives, an experienced diver called down a mech and said to me "That's you, try to keep it between the ditches". On the first drop I'll give an improv speech about preserving freedom and end it with "check your corners, make good decisions, and I will see you on the other side!". Its not perfect, but it didn't lose the plot either.
