When you talk about Grandma and Grandpa, that is exactly what my mom said to me when I had kids. She said we cam take them a week a year to be Grandma and Grandpa but never regular child care. Keeping those roles distinct was key.

Thank u for not being afraid to talk about being a stay at home dad. I’m a full time stay at home mom and law student and my family makes me feel ashamed for not having a full time job on top of this.

I think it’s so important to keep those relationships separate, so to speak. Keeping aunties & uncles & friends as just that & hiring someone to help with the kiddos. It’s so much better to hire someone that becomes part of the family instead of blurring boundaries & lines by having previously established relationships turn into both the original relationship + and employee so to speak. You’re doing great & B and L are so lucky to have you 💖

I was a nanny for 2 years when I was 21 - he was 3 months when I started and now he’s 13. They are still family and I just got to spend time with them a few weeks ago. I know I’ll be there at his graduation and I can’t wait honestly ❤️

I have been a Full Time Nanny for 15 years. Each one of my Clients have become Forever Families. The “Connection” is so Important for both the Family and the Nanny.

As a Nanny myself I love hearing this. Being a Nanny is a hard / extremely rewarding job. You have to have a connection like you said with the parents / Parent or else it will work. I have been with my family for 3.5 years and look after 3 kids. My parents have 100% trust in me to look after and help raise the kids. I NEVER take that responsibility for. granted!
