Even though it was 40 years ago. I can still hear the news paper pages turning and the sound of my dad’s coffee cup as it hits the kitchen table. Then I hear his voice tell me “10 mins before we leave for school”. I still own that same kitchen table. My family now eats there and I sit where my dad’s place once was. Some mornings, I’ll sit there and remember my father…imagining what he was thinking and if he would be proud of me. Then I tell my son, he has 10 mins before we leave for school and I hear my son’s voice say “okay Dad” and that’s when I know my Dad is still with me…guiding me. Love you Dad and miss you so so much.

I'm 54, a triple bypass, on dialysis and I'm fighting for every second to be strong for my girls. I'm trying hard for my 17 yr old. I tell my 29 yr old she'd be ok, she doesn't need me anymore. she says she'll always need me. Just keep going.

Man I’m 51. 3 sons 29 and twin’s 17. In the next year I will start falling back and trust what I have instilled in them to take on this work. My work as father will never change but I have to let them become the young men I raised
