Bulk buy non-perishables when they’re on a significant sale. I have my own little personal IGA in my laundry with about 10 x deodorants, toothpaste, cleaning products, tins of tomato, tuna, soup, etc.

I base our weekly meals off whatever meat is on special that week. Eg if mince is on special we will have bolognaise, tacos.

Woolworths everyday extra is billed monthly on the day you signed up but the discount becomes available on the first of every month, so you can actually pay for it every second month

I make sure there are no cleaning items or personal hygiene items included in the weekly shop. These are all bought in bulk twice a year with gift cards acquired through points, so they are essentially “free” as my points we acquired through just basic living costs.
