This is super convoluted way to solve it. Just think about the formula for area of a triangle 1/2 *bh and we know the base is going to be the diameter of the circle no matter what so obviously to maximize the height of the triangle it has to be perpendicular to the diameter ie the radius so then you end up with 1/2 * 2r * r or r^2
