Mine was sick in second part of year, leaves turned rusty, this spring it didn't have one single bud, thought it was dead, older branches are but now I'm noticing it started pushing new growth from far bottom of the plant and out from soil.

mine look like that after about 2 or 3 years of blooming, and after I trim it up a little bit it rejuvenates itself with fertilizers

My Montana was spectacular last year its first year.. I’ve got 3 and all fed.. They are supposed to look like that this time of year. I thought we were not meant to hard prune The Montana after flowering just a gentle shape. I get the Group Ones need a hard prune but NOT the Montana😳
