we cover everything we microwave except like hot water 😂 so it doesnt get gross very fast. I also like to let it air out a little before closing it after smellier things. so my husband cleans it like once a month

I use a cover for every single thing that goes it in. The cover is washed a lot but my microwave itself rarely gets dirty.

I rarely use my microwave and I cover everything except water. I wipe down the outside every week at the same time when I’m wiping down all the cabinets and appliances, but the inside only gets cleaned a couple times a year, directly coinciding with when oatmeal boils over.

We use a food splash cover when we heat anything which gets washed out after we use it. I wash the tray pretty often but I wipe up any spills immediately. The walls and ceilings? Eh…when I remember to.
