@didyoucatchthis: The Time Bruce Lee Looked Out for a Young Jackie Chan Jackie Chan was just 17 years old when he got the chance to work as a stuntman on Enter the Dragon—the final film of Bruce Lee. At the time, Lee was already a global icon, and for Chan, it was a dream opportunity. Chan’s role in the film was small, appearing briefly as one of the thugs in the underground fight scene. But what happened during filming left a lasting impression. While shooting, Lee accidentally struck Chan across the face with a stick. Staying in character, Lee finished the scene until the director called cut—then immediately rushed over to check on him, apologizing. Chan later said the injury didn’t bother him much. What stood out was Lee’s concern. He even admitted he played up the pain a bit, just to keep the moment going as Lee fussed over him. Later, when production was cutting down stuntmen for the remaining scenes, Lee personally requested that Chan be kept on. Chan has always believed it was Lee’s way of helping him earn a little extra money—an act of kindness from a legend that he never forgot.
