@houstonchronicle: Federal immigration officers were seen checking travelers' IDs at security checkpoints at both George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Hobby Airport Friday morning, as officials say they expect passenger volumes to remain significantly high. ⁠ ⁠ Wait times at Bush Airport on Friday morning were at four hours in IAH Terminal A South and three-and-a-half hours at IAH Terminal E, while William P. Hobby Airport saw wait times under 16 minutes, the Houston Airport System website showed. My girlfriend traveled yesterday, March 30, 2026, from Newark to Austin and didn't see any ICE agents; the airport was empty.
