If you’re getting Duralast pads, only get the Gold or Elite ones. They’re good pads. But in my opinion.. You’re better off ordering a better brand off Rock Auto.

Whoever saying don’t get them or you get what you pay for is dumb asf. You’re not a racer you don’t need special expensive pads. I’ve had duralast pads since my first brake pad change and my car stops like normal. Nothing special they stop your car like they’re supposed to. You’re not a racer that needs special pads

Duralast Gold. And if they are semi metallic, Duralast Elite to kill the dust. Shop owner here with 32 years in. These are the only aftermarket pads I install. 12 years worth of customer feedback and data as an independent. I pass roughly 700 cars a year through my hands personally. I’d also recommend the DLG rotors, especially for folks in salt states, they have a 3 year part coverage warranty.

Duralast has never gave me any issues. I see this complaint a lot when you only have front disc and rear drum. Once your drum breaks go bad you will run through front pads no matter what brand you buy. Any break pads should be lasting over a year even for your daily drivers.

They are fine, they will squeak tho on Toyota lexus and all euros make vehicles. Get the golds ALWAYS use OEM backing-pads and anti squeal shims. If you have time to wait order a better brand in rock auto.

buy duralast gold them supposedly don't squeak and also maybe ur mechanic didn't regrease caliper bolts and didn't spray it down with brake cleaner

perfectly fine for a daily driver. everyone that says they warped, doesn't know how to do a proper brake job. once the rotors are removed you MUST perfectly clean the hub face. it has to be perfectly smooth and clean. then the sliders from the caliper brackets need to have all the old grease removed with brake cleaner and fresh grease applied.
