Service dogs are not allowed to be fed when they’re performing a service. It distracts them from their task. It can be given as a reward but not just for no reason

I worked at DQ for a little bit. So many people would ask for a puppy cup, and then got mad that we rang it up as a kids cone... it was just vanilla ice cream in a cup... there wasn't a special button for a puppy cup, so we just did the kids cone since it was only like 3 Oz of ice cream

Service dogs are not supposed to be given human food EVER, but especially in the restaurant because it can encourage them to beg and steal food and can distract them from their job.

Service dogs aren't given treats. They can't distract them from their work, even just the expectation can do that. And them being distracted can cause harm or even kill people.

Service dogs aren't supposed to eat treats while on the job anyways, not to mention it's absolutely reasonable for a restaurant to refuse to serve an animal on dish ware other humans are supposed to eat off of
