This is one of those topics where my brain keeps going in loops. You're right that the problem is structural and that discrimination is a symptom, not the root cause. But most people see it as a societal issue, I fear it's embedded into the human condition. Meaning, you can get rid of misogyny, racism and whatnot, we'll always find some or other group to "other", and end up with the same structural flaws, just different victims.
