I’ve always seen the Lord’s Prayer like the format of a letter: 1st part — Name & Address: “Our Father who art in Heaven” 2nd part — Greeting: “Hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven” 3rd part — Main body: “Give us this day our daily bread… forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us… lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil” 4th part — Signing off: “Amen” The 1st, 2nd, and 4th parts are the foundation… But the 3rd part? That’s where it becomes personal. the main body of the letter/prayer should be your own personal prayer, Because the disciples didn’t ask Jesus what to pray— they asked Him how to pray. So that part… is where your heart speaks.
