The forks are made of crystallized plant starch! They are commercially compostable in less than 120 days, but have good strength to them.

Looooove Cava! The “plastic” forks are biodegradable and the plastic is made from plant materials like corn starch, sugarcane, cellulose, vegetable oils, and potato starch that will easily break down instead of fill landfills. Pretty cool!
