S&B Golden Curry is available in leading supermarkets and selected Asian Grocers Ingredients: Serves: 3 people Chicken Karaage 450g of chicken thigh, cut into 1" pieces 4 cloves garlic, minced 1 tbsp of ginger, minced 2 tbsp of soy sauce 1 tbsp of sake 1 tbsp of mirin 2 tsp of sesame oil 1/2 tsp of salt 1/2 tsp of white pepper 1 cup of potato starch, to coat Vegetable oil for frying; Japanese Curry 4 cloves of garlic, minced 1/2 brown onion, sliced 1 medium carrot, cut into 1/2” pieces 1 medium potato, sliced 100g of S&B Golden Curry Mild 2.5 cups of water - adjust accordingly 1 tbsp of oil 1 tbsp of butter Steps: Chicken Karaage: 1. Marinade the chicken with garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sake, mirin, sesame oil, salt and pepper for 30 minutes. 2. Coat the chicken with potato starch and dust off any excess. 3. Heat the oil over medium-high heat. 4. Once the oil is hot, fry the chicken until golden brown and crispy. Set aside Japanese Curry: 1. First, chop onions, carrots and potatoes into small sized chunks. 2. Then, sauté the garlic and onions until it is translucent and fragrant. 3. Next, add the carrots and potatoes. Stir often to prevent burning. 4. Add the water to the pot, bring it to a boil and cook the vegetables for about 5 minutes or until mostly soft over low heat. 5. Add the S&B Golden Curry MILD in and mix through. Keep stirring until desired consistency is achieved. 6. Turn the heat off and finish with 1 tbsp of butter. This will make the sauce silky and glossy. 7. Ladle the curry over rice and top with the chicken karaage. 8. Garnish with spring onion and Sichimi Togarashi.
