Simple tasks like trimming the hoof take such a long time compared to your standard riding horse, plus the materials are more. The shoes cost more and so do the nails, it takes more gas to heat up the shoes, even the wear and tear on your tools and your body is increased. So next time you wonder why it costs so much.
