After learning the luggage tag switching scheme I got one question more than any others. What do I actually do now when I check a bag ✈️👀 This is the exact checklist I now run through at every single airport before my bag leaves my hands. Every step is something you can do right now on your next trip ━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📸 1. PHOTOGRAPH YOUR BAG BEFORE IT TOUCHES THE BELT •	Stand at the check in counter and take a photo with your face, your bag, and the printed tag all visible in the same frame •	Turn on your location so the photo metadata timestamps exactly where and when that bag was in your possession •	This is your first line of evidence and it takes literally ten seconds to create ━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🎥 2. SHOOT A SHORT VIDEO WHILE YOUR BAG IS BEING WEIGHED •	A five second clip of your bag sitting on the scale with the agent visible is timestamped proof of exactly which bag you checked •	Pan slowly across any unique markings, straps, or tags on the exterior so every distinguishing feature is documented •	Video evidence is significantly harder to dispute than a single photograph alone ━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📡 3. ACTIVATE YOUR AIRTAG OR TRACKER BEFORE YOU HAND THE BAG OVER •	Open the Find My app or your tracker app and confirm your device is live and showing the correct location before check in •	Screenshot that location confirmation so you have proof the tracker was active and inside your bag from the moment it left you •	If your bag and the tracker end up in two different places you have instant evidence that a switch occurred ━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🎨 4. MAKE YOUR BAG IMPOSSIBLE TO MISTAKE FOR ANOTHER •	Wrap a bright luggage strap around the exterior, add a distinctive tag, and photograph all of it before every international departure •	If your bag looks exactly like every other black suitcase on the belt it is significantly easier to work with in a blind spot •	Unique bags are harder to swap quietly and harder to deny in an investigation ━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🧾 5. SCREENSHOT YOUR BAGGAGE RECEIPT AND MATCH THE TAG NUMBER •	The baggage receipt the agent hands you has a tag number that matches exactly what is printed on your bag •	Before you walk away from the counter photograph that receipt next to your bag so the numbers are visible together in one frame •	If your tag gets switched that number will not match what arrives at your destination and that mismatch becomes your defense ━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🌍 6. RESEARCH DRUG LAWS AT YOUR DESTINATION BEFORE YOU FLY •	If you are flying to a country with mandatory minimums or death penalty for drug possession you need to know that before you land •	Countries in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and parts of the Caribbean have some of the harshest drug laws on earth •	Knowing the legal environment at your destination is now a standard part of international travel preparation not optional ━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📋 7. REPORT ANYTHING SUSPICIOUS AT BAGGAGE CLAIM IMMEDIATELY •	If the bag that arrives looks different from what you checked, has new markings, or feels different in weight do not take it and walk away •	Flag a baggage claim agent immediately, do not touch the bag further, and request airport security before you leave the area •	The moment you take possession of a bag at baggage claim you become the legal owner of everything inside it ━━━━━━━━━━━━ Save this checklist and run through it before every single international flight from now on ✈️👀 Send this to everyone you are traveling with before your next trip 🧳🌍 #airporttips #traveltok #travelsafety #travel #creatorsearchinsights
