@bethonabudget_: I used to wonder where my money went and how I was meant to cover the “unexpected” bill that happens every month… Now I do this instead 👇 I use Monzo’s salary sorter to split my money into pots straight away. Bills, food, fuel, pets, holidays. Everything has a place. I have also automated to transfer money out immediately: £715 → rest of joint bills in separate account £255 → emergency fund + credit card in separate account £20 → investing in stocks & shares ISA And I always try to leave a small buffer (around £20) because something always comes up. This is what’s helping me take control and pay off over £10,000 of debt. Do you budget on payday or wing it? 👀 (Referral link for Monzo in bio where you can get up to £100 bonus!) #moneymanagement #debtfreejourney #ukbudgeting #paydayroutine #personalfinanceuk

Best thing I did was changing the dates of my bills to come out just after my salary went in. And also having a Monzo account for me general ‘spending money’

Budget monthly, and also using Monzo. Have to clear debt so have to do it strict as it can be!

You can open your LISA with just £1 btw! Don't forget it needs to be open for at least a year or you'll face a penalty when you buy. I didn't realise and ended up worse off when we bought our first home. Sorry if you already know, just worth the warning just incase ❤️
