Every family has this daughter, the daughter who always tries her best but always a failure. the daughter who always get compared, never enough in the eyes of her family, always tried from trying and trying. but yet she still chose to keep going and fighting for her family to make them proud. I was the daughter who had to wipe her own tears and keep going like everything was fine. The one who never talked much about what I was going on through because I didn't want too bother my parents or make them worried about me and yet my parents see me as a "tamad na anak/apo" i even became selfless for them, how many times should i keep up? just because im the eldest means i have to give up everything. I stayed quiet and held all my feelings inside because i know they wouldnt understand and wouldnt bother to listen. I did everything to make em proud of me yet it's still not enough, Through times I've changed. They see the ‘angry daughter,’ but what they don’t see is the little girl inside me, hurt and exhausted, who had to figure everything out alone and now flinches when others lean too hard. Ironically, I will always be the daughter who loves her Family but feels most at peace when she's away from home. I want to live far away from my home, in that way i can feel at peace.
