Ireland isn't a small island. It's a small country. The island is actually the 20th largest in the world and the 3rd largest in Europe. As islands go it's quite large. But is a very small country.

The Irish climate is usually referred to as a temperate maritime climate.Have never ever heard it being described as a continental climate.
