@cruiseybabbby: Being a quadriplegic and going through the process of getting a brand new seat cushion that I need to sit on every single day can be tough. There is a learning curve trying to figure out how the new cushion is going to work with my body, how exactly I need to be positioned since it is ever so slightly different than my last cushion with even the tiniest bit of incorrect positioning being able to lead to an issue. Unfortunately this is often part of the process when getting a new cushion and more so just having a spinal cord injury in general but luckily I caught it early and will be back in the saddle in no time!! ♿️
My bf is in hospital now with a stage4 pressure sore. Hopefully he will get flap surgery in July. Hope you feel better soon

My husband was quadriplegic for the last 34 years of his life. Be very careful with those pressure sores! I actually feel that his pressure sores contributed to his death because for two years he had to go back to bed so that the pressure sores could be relieved. He was spending about 75% of his life in bed and before that he was doing very well, but after those pressure sores developed He started deteriorating so much because he spent so much time in bed. So do all you can to NOT get pressure sores and try to stay out of bed as much as you can. I’m going to be a new follower so I’ll be watching you and hope you don’t get any more pressure source.😁

They put me in one of those Clinitron beds. It was the older model. It looked like a horse trough. He’s got like sand in it and air pressure bubbles up all around you so there’s never any pressure on you at all. It’s amazing so I had surgery they put me in that bed. Then I had to have another surgery so they left me in the bed. They just rolled me to the side turn the bed off and it keeps you in one position. It did the surgery while I was in the bed and yeah so I had both of my thighs done basically at the same time I’ve had numerous pressure stored unfortunately that’s why the one I have now I’ve been fighting for over 18 years around 18 years will never heal because of a previous surgery back there and there was too much scar tissue so there’s no fixing it. It’s just gonna be what it’s gonna be and I have to keep the infection away because once you get septic infection it never leaves your body so every day I wake up or before I go to bed I have to change that dressing and cannot tell you I’m sick and tired of doing it and what really sucks a week or two ago my power chair got stuck in my front yard so I flagged someone down on my long dead end road I live on to go inside and get my push chair and I went to my neighbors and I said, could you please bring your four wheeler or side-by-side or something over here to my house my Wheelchair stuck in my front yard. All I need is for you to pull me about 1 foot he told me no so I get back to my house and I get on the concrete under my carport and I hit a rock dumping me out of my chair onto my face basically and I had to pick up and sit down and pick up and sit down, basically dragging myself to my lawnmower, so I’d have something high enough to get back in my chair and that evening, I noticed I had tore open an old pressure store right on my cocky bowl and it was all the way to the bone again, so please please do your best to never get one and everyone that read this take care of your butt number two take care of your feet. Do not get drop foot. I never wore tennis shoes. I went straight to a army surplus store and bought me a pair of combat boots, all leather to keep my feet safe.
