Mind you we were getting 22-45 minute episodes of shows EVERY. YEAR. before streaming became a thing. I get post production adding in special effects, but I’m assuming this will be 8 episodes a season 45-60 minutes long. How are we not getting it yearly? The books, the blue prints are already there!

JKR aside, when we're discussing the way that streaming services stretch production like this, I can't help but get the sense they make more money this way. People watch at release, rewatch before the new season, and keeping people's subscriptions active for 5+ years longer than if they released annually....ugh everything comes back to capitalism

That's why I feel this show is gonna flop man. Marketed on the book accuracy but that is whatever, they won't be riding the hype like the movies did by coming out with PERFECT timing, J.K. Rowling and I don't need to explain at this point. It's just not gonna be the same.
