He told me I was the first person to show him unconditional love, even though we both acknowledged we weren't in love. And that was like crack to me 😵💫. So then every crappy thing he did, I had to forgive because I had to show him it was unconditional. 😑

I was only drawn at the beginning when he seemed secure. I never gravitated toward him when he was avoidant, if anything it would turn me off. I would stay thinking it would just be a phase and I shouldn’t leave just because of a rough patch. But once I realized it was a cycle, I detached and left because it was not my responsibility to carry the whole relationship
