@thinkingcanine: Megan Thee Stallion adopted a rescue dog, and I think it’s important to be honest about why this dog was on “the list”. Dogs who are not going to be adopted out in NYC have severe issues. In this case, he had a laundry list (resource guarding, lunging at children, strangers, dogs, cats, etc. on walks, over the top behaviors in the kennel). The old owners also backpedaled about his “reactivity”. Megan has many smaller dogs and a cat, and I am sure there are children in her neighborhood so I hope she gets help and keeps her own pets and community safe until this dog is worked with and evaluated properly. It takes an instant for a bad thing to happen to a child or small dog or cat.
