@tennessee_electrician: Several things can and will k!ll your business, one of those being underpricing your jobs. Not only is there immediate loss, but times that by several years. You could be losing thousands upon thousands of dollars over the course of time. Then it makes sense why you don’t have money to give your employees meaningful raises and bonuses. And why you are still driving your Chevy Astro van from the early 2000s because you can’t afford a new vehicle. Can’t stress enough how important it is to know your numbers and worth. @Rocky Boots
I had the hugest reality check when I broke down the cost of Just leaving the house and going to a service call. 😳 especially once I added employees

I’d rather overbid until I go out of business than underbid

I had a previous boss that would constantly underbid things. He would get so much work because he was so low. But at the end of the day he was basically doing it for cost. He got to the point where he wanted me to start pricing things so I would give him what I thought we should charge and he would look at me like I have three heads when our prices were drastically different. Needless to say he’s no longer in business and I didn’t work there very long.
