One of our favorite places! Thornburg Village (Normandy Village) has been sitting quietly on Spruce Street since the 1920s. The architect spent time in France during WWI and came back completely inspired by the villages of Normandy. It’s also right next to the UC Berkeley campus and downtown. Such a gem!

While at Cal, I stumbled upon a quiet “village” tucked just north of campus. I’d often detour toward the area, drawn back for another glimpse. Loved it!
