My wife wanted to go to college so Im picking up all the hours I can cause she wants to work her dream job im proud of her she tells me all the time when she’s done I won’t have to put work boots on again and I can start up my restaurant I want and feed people good food and we can live out American dream of feeding people and fixing smiles im proud of my wife seeing where she came from to here and shes the first woman to ever tell me that she wants to see me happy instead of working with my back we just gotta get through the hard part im tryna not let her down and get her through her school to her dream job

I worked while my wife went to college, then we both worked out our schedules so we never needed babysitters. I eventually retired, and now that the kids are grown, I have my 'peaceful' time to myself, but no real purpose anymore. My wife still works full time as a therapist, helping dozens of patients a week. She's happy to do so. It's not always about the money.

My husband did this for me for more than 20 years. Now I work, not because I need to or he's asked me to, but because he worked several jobs and always took odd jobs and it is time he had some freedom and space to breathe.

my wife was a sahm when our 1st was born. you're right. it bought her time to herself. the house was clean, kids were taken care of, and she had time to do things for herself. giving her that peace, gave me peace too. it was a gift for both of us.

I was able to keep my wife home till all the kids was in school then she got a job at the school so she would still be home with them over the summer and on breaks now so still works there cause she enjoys it
