For all the people commenting that it’s not much of a shortage, Walmart sells millions of these bags If a 3 lb bag is $4.98 and each bag is short by 6 oz., then they are making an extra $.60 on each bag, which is an extra $600 in their pockets for every 1,000 bags they sell. Now, times that by the millions of bags they sell. That’s a lot of money.

The potatoes lose moisture the longer they sit. semi trailer full of potatoes can be thousands of pounds less when it gets to the delivery.Because of moisture loss.
