@coastal.canine.re: I can’t believe i’m still writing posts for bear 🥺 Bubbles Dog Rescue has truly gone above and beyond trying to get Bear out of the shelter. We’ve had a few people commit to fostering, but unfortunately those plans have fallen through or just haven’t been the right fit..and right now, time really matters. We are looking for someone who will truly show up for him. Someone steady, kind, and committed. Someone who can give this sweet senior boy a quiet place to rest, recover, and feel safe and loved. i’m truly asking you … if you can step in, please do. Please message me so I can get you set up. The shelter opens at 11 tomorrow, and we’re hoping someone can be there right at opening to bring him home. It’s hard to even think about him spending another unnecessary moment there. Bear is 12 years old. He was surrendered by a homeless man who loved him, but couldn’t continue caring for him while living in a motel. He’s not in great shape, but Bubbles Rescue is ready to take on all of his medical care,, they just need a committed foster to partner with them. Everything will be covered. Fostering is completely free. You will have support every step of the way. All he needs is a soft place to land and someone willing to care. Someone who isn’t looking to push him out the door the second he gets there. You wouldn’t think it would be this hard to find a foster for a dog like Bear because everyone seems to have empathy for him, but here we are. No one really wants to be the one to step up.
