My mom’s sewing room is a favorite place for my granddaughters. This reminds me of how they play there. It’s amazing what their little brains come up with using a tub full of buttons, scraps of material, and some ribbon.

never really got into loose parts but the light table and the clear blocks in the wooden houses, chef's kiss. this morning she made herself a game using the silks and her Magna tiles and the color dice and the number dice from her Stones kit, I think she even used her Stones as well. her little people had to roll the dice and that was how many jumps they had to get to either a magnetile a scarf or a stone of that color. I think we might be ready for loose parts afterall.
