For an object thrown vertically, the maximum height depends on the initial velocity. Now if that was actually a phone, its greater mass would require significantly more force to achieve that same . Given normal human biomechanics, you wouldn’t be generating enough impulse to produce that height so effortlessly.
What you showed us instead follows the trajectory of a much lighter object lower mass, less resistance to acceleration, cleaner arc. In other words, you subtly altered the parameters of the system mid-experiment.
So in conclusion, the function describing that motion is not consistent with a smartphone model…
