The creative director for illit already admitted to not knowing what to do, so a whistleblower shared materials that included newjeans career plans. The whistleblower didn’t expect belift to use all of the materials. The company’s ceo knew even before illit debuted. The company knew what the media and people would’ve thought about this situation and still went ahead with the plan. They could’ve hired a different creative director? So much could’ve been done to prevent illit from getting hate. (I’m not hating on illit. I’m hating on belift, hybe!!)

I also want ppl to stop acting like illit weren’t already receiving hate from the R U NEXT Final Lineup controversy. Fans did not like the fact that some of the more talented contestants on the show weren’t chosen to debut and fans have speculated that the reason the girls in illit were chosen is because BeThief wanted to get closest to the Newjeans aesthetic as possible with the girls they chose.
