Now here's the issue. Many church leaders (especially in the black community) are: Draping it over pulpits. Wearing it while preaching. But most don't actually understand its original context, covenant, or purpose. And when you wear or display something sacred without understanding it, you risk stepping into symbolism you were never instructed to carry. Let's be clear: The tallit was given under the Old Covenant to Israel as a sign tied to the Law (Numbers 15:38-40). It was never instructed as apostolic vestments for New Covenant church leaders. We are not under the Law, we are under grace. We don't need Jewish garments to validate Christian authority. The Holy Spirit is our mantle. Christ is our righteousness. The power is in the anointing not the accessory. There's nothing wrong with wearing it but let's wear it correctly with respect and wisdom. IT IS NOT A FASHION ACCESSORY !! This isn't about disrespect. It's about order. As leaders, we have to govern ourselves with understanding. If we're going to use symbolism, we need revelation not imitation. Let's represent the Kingdom accurately. Let's walk in what was assigned to us. Let's stop borrowing shadows when we have the substance. You should not OWN a Prayer Shawl, if you don't OWN a Prayer Life.
